The HM Consul General for Trade and Investment Italy, Laurence Bristow-Smith will be visiting Leeds next week (24th June) to present on the business opportunities the World Expo 2015 which is taking place in Milan, presents for companies in Yorkshire and Humber.

The Expo Milano is taking place from 1st May-31st October 2015 with an expected 29 million visitors during the 6 month period, some 7000 events (approximately 40 per day) and investment of 17,999 Euros. To deliver the infrastructure required for such a major event the expertise of overseas companies is required to work with their Italian counterparts.

This opens up opportunities for businesses and specialists in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region. For example architects; caterers and hoteliers; companies in environment and energy efficiency; consultants; financial services companies; interior designers; manufacturers of consumer products; operators in the security sector and suppliers of building materials, plant and equipment, can all benefit from this excellent opportunity.

UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and Marketing Leeds have organised this event as one of many ongoing initiatives following on from the Leeds in Milan Festival of Commerce and Culture in October 2008.

Laurence Bristow-Smith is delighted that over a year on, Leeds in Milan is continuing to present opportunities for both cities.
