Leeds Chamber was one of the first to be established in the UK - originally founded in 1793. Following the ups and downs of trade cycles, in particular a difficult period through the 1990's, Leeds Chamber moved to Wellington Street in April 2001 and has re-established itself as one of the leading UK Chambers. Membership continues to grow and a strong financial platform has been established. A founder member of the Leeds Initiative in 1990, Leeds Chamber is committed to driving the city forward for the benefit of all its constituent parts and played a leading role in the formulation of Vision II for Leeds, the aims of which are fully supported.
