White Young Green is one of the largest multi-disciplinary consultants in the UK, providing engineering, environmental, project management and town planning services with their head office based in Headingley. The company was established in 1959 in Leeds and developed a strong reputation in the provision of engineering services. Growth continued and the merger of White Young and Ernest Green was the opening of the current chapter. White Young had strong public sector credentials and Ernest Green had likewise in the private sector. Strategically, White Young were strong in the North and Ernest Green in the South. The merger provided national coverage across most sectors of the industry. Consolidation within the industry continues and White Young Green is at the forefront of this process. There have been a further 24 acquisitions with significant expansion internationally in Europe and South Africa.
