Leeds College of Music
Leeds College of Music is one of the leading music colleges in the UK and a founder member of Conservatoires UK. The college is unique in the UK as the only specialist music conservatoire to offer a wide range of courses in jazz, classical and popular music and music production, and is distinguished by its contemporary focus and innovative approach to music education.

Leeds College of Music was founded in 1965 as Leeds Music Centre, soon becoming the City of Leeds College of Music and finally Leeds College of Music on moving to its Quarry Hill campus in 1997. The college has continued to develop with the opening of The Venue, its state-of-the-art performance space, in 2003, and the addition of further teaching, performance and studio space and student accommodation in 2005.

As the only conservatoire to offer both Higher and Further Education programmes, Leeds College of Music provides a unique opportunity for students to progress from BTEC courses through to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The college has around 1,000 full-time students including approximately 50 international students from 25 countries, and a further 1,500 part-time students.
